Born in Inslington, North London, Cass spent 29 years at Camera Press Ltd, a major press agency in the heart of London's West End. As Darkroom Manager he printed for some of the world's most famous photographers, including Lord Snowden, Lord Lichfield, Parkinson, Rankin, Karsh, Terry O'Neill, Terence Donovan and David Bailey to name but a few.
Cass, in his own right as a photographer, has over 3000 images on the agency website and many have been published in books, magazines and newspapers around the world, he has also added 'Crime Scene Photographer' to his extensive portfolio.
Now living in Marske-by-the-sea, North Yorkshire, Cass's landscape images have been exhibited at venues that include The Art Gallery Hartlepool, Kirkleatham Hall Museum, The Danby Moors Centre, Middlesbrough's TS1 Gallery, The Gallery Guisborough, Gibside National Trust Centre, Redcar's The Clock Gallery, Redcar and 'Pier view' Gallery' on Saltburn sea front. And now is exhibiting here at Saltburn Station Gallery.
Cass's images have a unique and dramatic style that captures the imagination of the viewer and the mood of the moment.
